Sue started out writing nature features, biographical articles, and how-to craft articles for various magazines, including AppleSeeds and Highlights for Children, and today, she’s a frequent contributor to Clubhouse and Clubhouse Jr. She has written two middle grade sports books, and she's excited about her upcoming board book, Hey There, Blue Bird!, which will be out next year (B&H Publishing, 2026). A former teacher, Sue is active in the children's writing community. She is a member of SCBWI and CANSCAIP, and serves as coordinator of Write2Ignite's Christian Authors Reading Event ("CARE") and their monthly Time2Write sessions.

When she’s not reading or writing, Sue can be found digging in the garden, designing and creating crafts, or cheering on her favorite athletes as they compete around the world.
